The Victim by Lawrence Goodman

News!

This summer I have the privilege to be involved in the world premiere of “The Victim” written by Lawrence Goodman at Shakespeare & Co. I am understudying the role of Maria, “a health aid grappling with racism during Covid 19.” This three women play will run from June 19th through July 20th. I am already having a wonderful time working on this powerful piece and learning from some of the finest actors and crew in New England!

“Three women, three interconnected monologues. Who gets to call herself a victim? Who is the perpetrator?”

I just finished my first regional production this winter. In Hartford Stage’s A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas adapted and directed by Michael Wilson. I had a filled ensemble track ranging from the dancing Elizabethan Apparition to Fezziwig’s daughter, Wendy, and finally a singing glamorous party guest. In addition I understudied, Belle (Scrooge’s past fiancé) and Fred’s wife. Which I got the opportunity to go on for during our 50 show run!

Following that I came back to Hartford Stage and was in the company of Romeo & Juliet directed by Artistic Director Melia Bensussen. I was an ensemble member and was able to dance and act throughout the story! I missed my official graduation to perform… but I would have chosen that over and over again.

I just graduated Summa Cum Laude with my BFA in Acting from The Hartt School! Here linked is my class’s virtual acting showcase. During my years in school I was in two regional shows at Hartford Stage, studied Shakespeare/classical acting in London and was in over 7 shows at the Hartt School. I am so grateful for my time at Hartt.
